Welcome to Willborn's World
Since his first appearance on stage in 1987, George Willborn, who is dubbed as, The Stress Reliever, has brought laughter to the masses with his keen wit and no-holds-barred approach to telling the truth about “what-is-funny.” In 1992, he became the host of the All Jokes Aside Comedy Club in Chicago. Due to his popularity, he went on to perform at clubs across the country while securing television work on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, BET’s ComicView, Showtime at the Apollo, Comedy Central’s Comic Justice and MTV’s The Real World. With over 20 years in radio, ranging from mornings in Chicago to afternoons in DC and several nationally syndicated programs, he also found time to hone his acting crafts by studying under the likes of Chip Fields Hurd and Bill Duke. Currently, he is exercising all aspects of his wide range of talents from afternoons on WHUR radio, touring the country with his comedy, to writing and producing his own project "The Tragedies of Comedy," as well as landing a major role in the new, upcoming Spike Lee Joint "Chiraq."
Listen to audio clips of Willborn's World aired on Tuesdays on The Doug Banks Radio Show.
